Service Engineer

Overall task / purpose of the position

• Independent and creative processing of the tasks listed below, including technical evaluation and documentation of the results as well as information about them to the team leader
• Service activities mainly in the USA including customer support
• Ongoing training at Askion / Germany (also over longer periods of time) as well as independently (online)
• Travel activities mainly within the USA, partly worldwide
• Training of service technicians and operators
• Flexible working hours

The following typical activities must be carried out and documented on the basis of procedural instructions and on instructions:

• Planning, organization and implementation of service calls (USA + optionally worldwide)
• Maintenance, repair, assembly and disassembly work on site
• Installation and setting of devices and systems on site
• Advice and customer support (by phone, online and on site)
• Diagnosing technical problems and analyzing errors
• Implementation of user training courses on site
• Preparation of reports and documentation
• Communication with Askion / Germany

Your profile:

• Technical education, Degree as a technician or bachelor
• Excellent practical and technical understanding
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, electrics, software
• Knowledge of working with computers and office programs
• Creativity in solving technical problems (“hands on mentatlity”)
• Ability to work in a team and flexibility
• Open-minded and service-oriented dealing with customers
• Language(s): English, basic knowledge of German
• Willingness for further education and training
